A blogger is an individual who produces media content on a regular basis in the form of articles, videos, audio, or text. While bloggers can be anybody with a computer, those encouraged to blog are typically thought of as having expertise in certain areas and a real passion for blogging.

To write a blog, it takes devotion and patience, one should be able to dedicate hours and hours each day for their blog. Often it entails writing content that comprises the author’s background and perspective presented in the form of textual posts followed by linked post titles from other authors or even images.

Bloggers are content creators who share blog posts. A blogger is the opposite of a journalist or a copywriter and wouldn't be seen as such.

Being a blogger is comparable to being an artist in the sense that they view their work as art. They create content and don't care if it will sell copies, but instead care if it's an original piece of quality writing. Bloggers get a sense of satisfaction when they publish their own writing and put themselves out there for critique.

Compared to journalism, bloggers write less articles than what is published by reporters per day which is equivalent to 2-3 articles per day (1/4).
